Dr. Darlene Nigro, D.O.

Dr. Darlene Nigro received her Bachelor of Science from Adelphi University in Garden City, N.Y. She received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the University of Osteopathic Medicine & Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa. She completed her internal medical residency at Mountainside Hospital in Montclair, N.J., where she served as chief medical resident. Dr. Nigro founded Bedford Medical in 1995. She is a member of the American Medical Association and the Medical Society of Virginia.

Dr. Kara Lee Matala, D.O.

Dr. Kara Matala, a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Mary Washington College, received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia. Board certified in family practice, Dr. Matala is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. She completed a one-year internship at Delaware County Memorial Hospital in Drexel Hill, Pa., and completed her family practice residency at Carilion Health System in Roanoke.
